Do you feel a chill in the air or an urge to discourse about the relative merits of candy corn? That’s because it’s Halloween, baby! While many ghosts, goblins, and Carmys from The Bear got their spooky on this past weekend, there are still a couple more hours of Halloween to go. If you want to stay in the spirit—or need some inspiration for a last-minute costume—read on for some of our favorite celeb looks of the year.
Celeb-o-ween: 2023's best looks from the stars
As always, the celebs were feeling spooky this October
Megan Thee Stallion
The “Bongos” rapper went all out for her annual, Tim Burton-themed Halloween—ahem, Hottieween—party. Here she is as one of the flowers from Burton’s Alice In Wonderland.
Victoria Monet
Victoria Monet was also in attendance at Hottieween. Here she is posing with herself as the equally goofy and spooky Queen Of Hearts.
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox debuted one of two (SAG-AFTRA flaunting) looks at Michael Braun’s Halloween party. Here they are as two characters from Death Note.
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (part 2)
To the delight of some fans and probably wig stores everywhere, Megan and MGK really did the rounds this Halloween. Here they are as Gogo Yubari and The Bride from Kill Bill.
Halsey
Halsey debuted an intoxicating look as a siren at Michael Braun’s Halloween party. Per a post on the singer’s Instagram page, her boyfriend Avan Jogia was also in attendance as a hapless sailor.
Paris Hilton
This one’s pretty easy to figure out. Paris Hilton poses as a mushroom (or maybe as Toad from The Super Mario Bros. Movie?) at Michael Braun’s Halloween party.
Paris Hilton (part 2)
Megan Fox and MGK weren’t the only ones to pull off two great costumes this Halloween. Paris Hilton does it again as an incredibly accurate Britney Spears from the “Toxic” video.
Demi Lovato
Disney’s live-action Snow White may have been delayed to 2025, but Demi Lovato is getting ahead of the game with this princess-inspired look. Maybe they’ll release a rock version of “Someday My Prince Will Come” at some point.
Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, and Lili Reinhart
Riverdale may be over, but—luckily—stars Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, and Lili Reinhart’s yearly group costume tradition is not. This year, the three went as Cat Woman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn from the DC Comics.
Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies
The Riverdale girls weren’t the only former costars to do a joint costume this year. Ariana Grande reunited with former Victorious costar Liz Gillies for a glittery tour through the film Showgirls. They even recreated a whole scene!
Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker
Pete Davidson strikes again! This year, 2/3 of Boygenius went as that iconic photo of Pete and Ariana Grande, lollipop and all. That’s Lucy Dacus under the hat and Julien Baker in the wig.
Ice Spice
This year, the “Deli” singer went as icon Betty Boop, which she dubbed “Wetty Boop” for the evening.
Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber
He’s not Elvis this time! Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber attended the annual Casamigos Halloween Party as Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick.
Justin Bieber and Finneas
At least these two followed SAG-AFTRA’s rules about costuming, even their costumes aren’t the most inspired. Here are musicians Finneas and Justin Bieber as a member of Blink-182 (Travis?) and an anonymous snorkeler.
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber
Ooh ooh ooh honey! Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford arrived at the party dressed as Danny and Sandy from Grease (with the perfect coif to boot).
Victoria Justice
Victoria Justice may not be able to turn back time, but she was able to show up to the Casamigos party as Cher!
Christina Aguilera
Victoria Justice wasn’t the only Cher this year. Christina Aguilera’s costume was a tribute to her Burlesque co-star and “the OG trailblazer.”
Kyle MacLachlan and Desiree Gruber
The SAG-AFTRA costume rules forced some celebrities to get, er, extra creative. We’re interpreting Kyle MacLachlan’s costume as some sort of pickleball zombie and Desiree Gruber’s as a rabid animal control worker?
Padma Lakshmi
Chloe Bailey
Cat Woman had a big year this year! Chloe Bailey dresses as the DC character for Bette Midler’s Annual Hulaween Bash.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos
Talk about makeup skills! Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos attend Bette Midler’s party in gorgeous Día de Muertos outfits.
Heidi Klum
The heir apparent to Halloween King Jack Skellington, Heidi Klum peacocks around her Halloween party with flagrant disrespect for Comcast’s flailing streaming service. Heidi, how could you?!
Saweeti
Here’s rapper Saweeti doing a little Edward Saw-issorshands. She sure is looking sharp.
Megan Thee Stallion redux
It wouldn’t be Halloween without a costume change. Megan Thee Stallion was caught eating after midnight, allowing her Poison Ivy garb to mutate into Greta the Gremlin. “Gizmo caca” this ain’t!
Diddy
After allegedly receiving a legal notice over his Joker costume, Diddy took another stab at The Dark Knight by spending an ungodly amount of money to dress as Batman. This costume may not be of interest to lawyers, though it should be. It is low-key cruel to play Batman and force a child to dress as Alfred.
Rachel Zegler
From Snow White to Scooby-Doo, Rachel Zegler loads up on Scooby Snacks as Daphne Blake. What’s next, Scrappy-Doo dressing as Dopey?
Duke Depp
And here’s Duke Depp, TikTok’s Willy Wonka dressed as, what else, Willy Wonka! Does Duke still do this bit? Not really! He has since rebranded as an “influencer.” However, it’s nice to see him playing the hits!
LizzoAN
Attempting to help fans forgive and forget those lawsuits accusing her of abuse and hostile working conditions, which she called “a fabricated sob story” by “opportunists, Lizzo dressed as late singer Tina Turner. You go, Lizzo!
Glen Powell and Chord Overstreet
There’s only one thing more powerful than the duo of Powell and Overstreet, and it’s Shake and Bake! Here’s Glen Powell and Chord Overstreet driving fans wild as the stars of Talladega Nights. Vroom, vroom. Will Ferrell fans, start your engines.
