He really was. And Dan knew very early on that he was done for, but props to him for carrying on and fighting to the last second.

Would love a best of the best season where Tasha gets a second chance.

A publisher is stealing that title from you right now!

I liked the simplicity of Josh’s cake, and was charmed by the biscuit greenhouse. But when the judges tasted Matty’s and fell in love, we all knew Josh had a mountain to climb to win.

Matty’s week by week improvement was what made him the perfect winner.

I too thought Matty was about to propose when he walked over to Lara and said he needed her. It really took me a minute to remember they were already engaged!

Prue saying it tasted delicious but that she essentially didn’t like it because she wasn’t used to the idea really bugged me.

What I love about Alison is that she seems to genuinely like being there, and Noel seems to be playing off that this season. With Noel and Matt, it often seemed like Noel was there as a punishment, and Matt was there to be a little mean and pass it off as humour.

Ok, I had not noticed this but next week I am going to be scrutinising the two of them whenever they’re near each other.

I think everyone realised the situation was so ridiculous the only thing to do was to laugh. Everyone was in the same boat.

She was so great on an An Extra Slice, so do watch that if you haven’t had the chance to yet.

I LOVE Saku. We must protect her.

I will have to look up an American recipe. I usually go for half fat to flour for shortcrust. Maybe my rolling out skills need work!

I really liked Rowan, but we are most definitely getting into the business end of things now. Everyone has to have a very good week to stay in.

Cristy didn’t make much of an impression the first couple of weeks, but I think she’s really shown her personality in the last two episodes. I loved her choices this week, and although she had a tough week, she’s clearly very talented.

Agreed! Air conditioning and blast freezers are two things Bake Off desperately needs.

Definitely! I think challenging the bakers is good, but in the last few seasons it’s really felt like they’ve gone for a combination of really difficult bakes plus nowhere near enough time, and that’s not enjoyable to do (I imagine) or watch.

I can only sign a few letters in BSL, but I think ASL and BSL are pretty much two different languages, although they might share a few things. I am far from an expert on this though!

I have my fingers crossed for you!

It’s clear she’s enjoying being there, and if the first episode is anything to go by, she’ll give the whole series the boost it needs.
